Chlorine floats make keeping your pool clean and sanitary pretty easy. The one problem is that sometimes it is easy to forget to check how much is actually left in the float. When you do check and find that it is empty, you have to wonder how long it has been that way.
This is the Hydrotools Large Capacity Floating Pool Dispenser, model 8720. It is a large capacity chlorine dispenser that can hold up to three pounds of three inch tablets. That is enough to last a fair amount of time. The cap locks shut and the unit comes with a control ring for making adjustments.
Holds up to 3 pounds of 3" chlorine tablets. Has locking cap and adjustable control ring. Style may vary.

If you own a swimming pool I think it's important to own a Floating Chlorine Dispenser. It's a great place to keep your chlorine tablets.
Plus, whenever you head out of town there's a greater chance you will come home to a better-looking pool if you choose to put two or three chlorine tablets in this floater. As you know, chlorine is important for swimming pool water. Putting chlorine tablets inside this floater will make the pool water clean and safe.
However, I recommend you tie the floater to the side of the pool instead of letting it float around. That's because, if the pool is running, the floater might get stuck in the filter. Always make sure the chlorine floater is tied to the side, away from the filter.
It Works

This dispenser is an excellent value. Throw in three or four pucks, toss it in the pool and you're good to go for nearly a week. The construction is solid, the top locks securely, yet is easy to open when you're ready to refill. The adjustable vanes on the bottom work well, although you'll probably end up leaving them wide open to keep the chlorine level up.
Great product....

There was a slight problem with the original dispenser sent to me and they sent me one I have no problem with and wasted no time sending it to me.
Good idea, poor execution

Reviewer: bookwoman,
I have difficulty opening the chlorine dispense that is part of the whole pump system and so thought this would be a way around that. While it is a good idea, it doesn't work terribly well. In the end, it doesn't keep enough chlorine in the pool - the dispenser just doesn't get enough water running through it. When I open it, there's still chunks of the tablets undissolved and the test kit is saying the chlorine is weak.
